What is Care-Sure? What is covered? Who is it for?
The cover provided is Professional Liability incorporating Malpractice & Public/Products Liability to an indemnity limit of £2m (other limits also available) as standard and written on a 'claims-made' basis.
The Care-Sure policy is an annual contract available for residents of Great Britain and all Ireland and automatically provides cover throughout these countries and for up to 60 days temporarily overseas (excluding USA & Canada).
It indemnifies the practitioner's legal liabilities to third parties, including the clients, patients or students in their charge. It protects against errors or omissions that might give rise to accidental damage to, or loss of property, or injury to persons - but only 'pays out' when it can be established that the practitioner is 'legally' liable.
Additional and appropriate Legal Expenses cover can be added to protect the practitioner in the event of allegations of abuse, disputes concerning premises, investigations by HMRC into tax affairs and provide access to a 24/7 Legal Helpline.
The Care-Sure policy is suitable for the following: -
- Complementary Therapists
- Pilates Instructors
- Tai Chi Instructors (non combat)
- Dance Instructors
- First Aid Practitioners/Assessors/Trainers (can include Health & Safety training etc)
- Fitness Instructors
